Our first two weeks at our new site, Manor House Lodge!

After 32 months of negotiations we finally moved into the museum’s new site in Finsbury Park on 9th October and welcomed our community onsite the very next day!

It’s been an amazing rollercoaster of a fortnight and we are so grateful to all the crew, community members and partners who have made the first days on the new site so precious!

We have been running our community programmes on Tuesdays and Thursdays as a way to welcome people onto site, begin to design and transform the space together and test out what works ahead of the museum’s public opening in Spring 2024. Stay tuned for more updates!

Our music facilitator Lauren says

“Music connects us to ourselves, other people, our past, our passions and our emotions - when we make music we express something that needs to be said and felt. Music can be a space for healing and enjoyment, a space for exploration with no judgement......There will be no entry exams, fees or expectations, only an opportunity to connect with everyone’s inner musician” - Loz

Our Yoga teacher Lorraine says:

“Yoga is so expensive and not accessible for people who could really benefit from it. Sometimes I’m the only lady of colour in the room when I’m teaching or practising. So, I want to make yoga more inclusive for everyone”
