COVID-19 Homeless Taskforce - 7 days a week

Together we can come through this

COVID 19 HomelessTaskforce, life at the hub:

Since early April, MoH, in partnership with Streets Kitchen has been operating a food, supplies and support hub in Islington which is actively responding to the COVID crisis. The hub is the base for our HomelessTaskforce and operates 7 days a week. We are working with our partners The Outside Project, The Simon Community, The Union Chapel, Islington Council and local Mutual Aid groups to tackle the crisis.

The HomelessTaskforce includes 100 amazing volunteers who have experience in outreach, mental health, nursing and we even have a vet! We have safeguarding structures built in to the work and reflective practice for our volunteers doing frontline work.

We are also working with our sister taskforces in Hackney, Lambeth, Camden and Tower Hamlets, supplying food and PPE from the Islington Hub. Between us we are working with hundreds of people who are accommodated in emergency accommodation or left on the streets.

Between us we aim to ensure no-one in our community faces this pandemic alone.

Check out our social media for live updates of life in the hub.
