Appeal: help us raise 10,000 by joining our first ever night walk in london on 20th june
We have a few spaces available on the inaugural Human Rights night, a nightwalk from the iconic Railton Road in Brixton, to the museum in Finsbury Park.
Taking place on 20th June, the event promises to be one for the history books. About 50 people will walk 12 miles through the night, taking in places and spaces in London that relate to the rich human rights related histories layered through London’s streets.
From the black dog of Newgate to the Gay Liberation Front, we’ll be honouring Human Rights Giants and following in the footsteps of those who have risen up through the centuries.
All funds raised will support our essential work. In the last year the museum provided 4620 hot meals for the community and provided 101 warm beds through it’s emergency shelter. The museum provides about 7598 hours of employment per year for people coming out of homelessness, poverty or addiction.
Donations also support the museum’s independent investigations, research and campaigning work, which has created tangible policy change and unlocked funding for homelessness across England and Wales.
