Launching A People’s History of Finsbury Park

We are delighted to present A People’s History of Finsbury Park – a gathering of thoughts, articles, poetry, history and quotes about Finsbury Park and the surrounding area.

It is finally here! A People’s History of Finsbury Park has arrived. We are delighted to share news about our first book that has been created to coincide with our arrival in the historic Finsbury Park. What started as a small zine has morphed into a beast of book created by 17 amazing contributors including…

Alan Denney, Benji Human, Lisa Ogun’, David Tovey, Malcolm Grant, Milly Gumm, Bekki Perriman, Jeremy Worman, Hasan Kahya, Isabella Pojuner, Mark, Rachel and Melissa.

The book is designed by Matt Bonner and printed by Calverts Co-op. This powerful anthology explores myths and legends about the area, shares untold histories of squatting, personal accounts, and poetry from people who live or have lived in the area.

Over the next month we’ll be sharing more about the publication, and the contributors along with special excerpts and content from the book. Central to this will be the launch of Benji Human’s Inside, Outside an experiential and moving exploration of Finsbury Park made especially for the project.

In the meantime, watch this space for two very special FREE events we have created to mark the launch of the book which we warmly invite you to.
