25 households have now been housed by our fund with Haringey Welcome

One more person has a roof over their head thanks to our solidarity fund with Haringey Welcome. We provide first month’s rent and deposit to people coming out of the immigration system who would otherwise become street homeless.

Home Office rules mean that people are evicted from government accommodation very quickly once they recieve permission to remain in the UK. Often, people have been living on very little money and have had no chance to save a deposit or first month’s rent.

Our scheme provides that - and gives people the best possible chance to build a new life here in the UK, rather than end up on the streets.

It’s simple, it’s effective and it’s housed 25 households so far.

Thanks to everyone who has donated. If you would like to do so, you can here: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/haringey-solidarity-fund

Thank you and stay warm!
